Online customer reviews have seemingly taken over the old word of mouth recommendations of the past. According to Invesp, 90% of consumers read online reviews before visiting a business. And 88% of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. The same is true for golf courses as proven in 2016 when Golf Shake conducted a survey, in which 80% of respondents stated that online reviews helped them decide whether to play a new course.
